Things to consider about just a few of these ingredients:

Butylene Glycol – A solvent, also used in plasticizers – the 1,3 – isomer, ‘judged’ safe enough for cosmetics use has been known to cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals
Propylene Glycol – A major constituent in Anti-Freeze – known to cause irritation and contact dermatitis
Various ‘PEG’ compounds – (PEG - Poly Ethylene Glycol) implies compounds have been ‘’eth”oxylated – which have been found to be contaminated with the potent, and infamous, carcinogen – dioxane.
Dimethicone (and related ingredients) – Silicone oil. These ‘efficiently’ stop the skin losing moisture by effectively acting like an impermeable coating – and clogging pores. Safety data sheets note that these chemical have been shown to cause tumours in lab tests on animals.
The family of ‘-parabens’ (Ethyl, Propyl & Methyl) – These toxic synthetic preservatives are found in many personal care items – although known to cause allergic reactions and skin rashes.
Benzyl Alcohol – Risky for those being treated for alcohol dependency; And to be avoided by those with religious beliefs that forbid alcohol use; But worse still – these synthetic alcohols have been shown to trigger allergies and dermatitis
